Essay Guidelines

You are writing a Compare and Contrast Essay, which will be comparing & contrasting the 1930's to the 2000's, meaning 1930-1939 and 2000-2010.
Here are the guidelines:
  • 2-3 pages
  • Times New Roman
  • 12 pt. font
  • Double-spaced
  • 1" margins
  • Page numbers (bottom of page)
  • Original Title
  • Works Cited page, use in-text citation!
  • Name & period upper right hand corner
  • Final paragraph should be a prediction, a"foreshadowing" paragraph

In addition to reading chapters 9 & 10, you must also:
Write a half-page response to the silent discussion
  • What did you learn about your question? Did you get any good answers? Did you gain any new insight to the answer of your question? Were your peers helpful in giving you an answer?
  • Did you like the activity?
  • Rate it on a scale of 1-10. 1=horrible, junk, boring. 10=great, fun, exciting.
